California State University, Stanislaus, one of the nations top ten best public colleges (Wall Street Journal 2025), is proud to announce it is exploring an opportunity to establish an academic site at Pacific Gateway in South San Joaquin County. The new Tracy Campus would expand access to higher education in South San Joaquin County and the Central Valley. As part of this exploration, we are considering how the site could evolve over time to meet student and community needs, with any future facilities or enhancements shaped through collaboration with campus and regional stakeholders.

Stanislaus State will capitalize on its strengths in business, agriculture, and education while expanding its impact on the region in supply chain/logistics, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology. The portfolio of programs will ultimately be designed to address regional needs and provide a differentiated experience from programs located on the Stockton campus.

The initial phase will include a striking, state-of-the-art inaugural building that offers flexible classroom spaces, faculty and administrative offices, and student collaboration areas.

The opportunity for a Stan State Tracy campus is rooted in collaboration, and its success will grow from the collective support of community and regional stakeholders. With this crucial support, Stan State could break ground as early as the fourth quarter of 2026, with an anticipated completion date in second quarter of 2028.
